Paul Snider is a Vancouver actor, musician and filmmaker. He has appeared in over 85 short films, movies, television episodes and TV/Internet commercials. Paul’s feature film Everywhere But Here and his short films The Walk, Solo Duet, and Solo Duet: Who’s On First, all of which he wrote, produced, directed and played the lead roles, were official selections in film festivals across North America, winning numerous awards. As well as film, Paul has appeared in musicals and theatre productions, winning a Thea Award for his performance in The Boys Next Door.
In 2008, after a successful business career in technology which garnered him Business in Vancouver’s Top 40 Under 40 Award and Ernst and Young’s Company of the Year, he opened his entertainment production company Born To Fly Entertainment which produces film, music and theatre projects. Among his many film projects, he wrote his musical The Curtain of which he produced a full-cast recording. He created his original musical Junk! The Musical which later became The Music of Junk, a touring musical theatre show composed of invented original instruments he built from recycled materials. In 2018 Paul released his solo music album The Letter on which he performs his original folk rock songs. Paul is also a stand-up comedian, having appeared at Yuk Yuks and The Comedy Mix in Vancouver, and The City Limits Comedy Club in Ireland. His one-man live music theatre show Orchestra of Sound premiered at the Vancouver Fringe Festival in September 2023, and made its international premiere at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2024. His short film The Castle is Paul’s newest film and his first film in the horror genre.
